It is the fresh beginning of a new year. This time offers us such a beautiful time to take stock of our lives, reflect -- and choose once again. We have about a month of winter left here in Northern California. By the time I sit down to write the next issue of the newsletter in collaboration with Source and our other contributors, I expect the yellow daffodils will be about ready to burst into blossom. How beautiful is that?
I am in preparation for our upcoming February Mystery School Retreat for Graduates & Level IV Practitioners. While it is called Surrendering the Ego, Opening the Heart, Source has been teaching me -- experientally, as always -- how much our emotional body and mind contribute as core players to whatever is unfolding in our lives in addition to our ego.
Out of these learnings flowed the lead article for this month's newsletter. More to come...
Much has been written about the ego as 'villain' in psychological & other texts. There is no part of us that is a villain; there are, however, parts of us that are operating in areas beyond the scope of what is in our Highest Good. Since the motto of the ego tends to be:
There is a wide-open possibility that our ego can cross boundaries very easily with little or no awareness of having done so. The mechanism that allows this is called denial. The ego's first line of defense is to push anything it doesn't like or feels threatened by out of conscious awareness. In other words, it causes us to become unconscious or unaware of something we need to address. The bottom line is that our ego is trying to protect us.
The Truth is that, as functioning adults, we don't need protection.
We need to address our long-buried issues so we can create lives of peace, harmony and love. As we do this individually, we can learn to do so as a unified human race and create a world that reflects what we have achieved internally.
As DWS Master Facilitator, Diane Boivie, says: "Pain is not to be avoided. It needs to be addressed -- ideally with an expert facilitator -- so the client is freed of the underlying issue as well as the resultant symptoms. PAIN is the acronym for Persistent Avoidance of Inner Needs."
We must find the courage to face our pain., which is often deeply buried in our subconscious. It is our symptoms that seek to bring this to our conscious awareness so we can resolve the underlying cause.
Source has taught me -- through direct experience in myself and through clients -- that a traumatized emotional body is often the underlying cause. The ego operates on the premise: Lead, Follow --or Get Out of the Way. It is a strong, courageous part of us that seeks to protect the softer, more vulnerable emotional body and, to a lesser extent, the mind.
The mind can also become traumatized. When that occurs, particularly if the trauma occurs repetitively, the mind is likely to align with the ego in seeking to protect the vulnerable emotional body and itself, suppressing or repressing what is painful. While this may have a short term benefit, it can be detrimental in the long term.
The short term benefit means a surcease, or at least a reduction, of the pain in the immediate NOW. Sometimes, in fact often, our ego-mind complex becomes so expert at doing this that we cannot easily access the underlying cause. We are simply living lives of pain. This may reveal itself in various ways in order to gain our attention: progressive physical illness, depression, free-floating anger, chronic sadness & grief, difficulties in holding jobs or getting the kind of work we want, and in problematic relationships with family, friends and significant others.
It often does not occur to us that our current reality links back to something that happened much earlier in our existence. I say existence because, in the DWS work, the originating cause may or may not be in this lifetime.
Thus, enters the factor known as karma. I think of it as the Great Teacher. It is implacable, inexorable -- and we cannot pretend to have learned the lesson and outfox the teacher. We either have done so and the karma is lifted, or we have not and it continues to rule our life.
The work before every member of humanity is to find the courage to face our deepest inner pain, do our work -- ideally with an expert -- to gain an understanding of the lessons we ourselves seek to learn, and -- through that learning -- release our pain.
It's much easier than we think.
It is also Job One.
Are you beginning to conceptualize what is going on? We live in a world controlled to a large extent by the egos of wounded people. We are them, and they are us. As Mahatma Gandhi said,
I have worked with a lot of energy healers over the years and taken a lot of classes, but no one had been able to help me release my memories of a tremendously violated childhood. My father and uncle abused me sexually and emotionally throughout my childhood. To say that they attempted to control my mind is an extreme understatement.
For many years I was haunted by these memories. This detrimentally impacted my health and my ability to perform my professional work, at which I am very good. I needed help. I began searching the web for someone who could help me. I had a gut feeling that I would recognize energetically the person who could help me release this. In my search I found the DWS website. When I looked at one of the photos of Ashley, I knew she could help me.
I reached out to her only to learn that she was in the process of writing a book and was not taking on new clients. I burst into tears right on the phone with her. She was very kind in asking me what was wrong. As I explained my situation, she said, "You need help and you need it NOW. Do you have an hour right now?" and so we began to work together.
She helped me clear many lifetimes with my father and uncle, transmute disempowering and tribal beliefs, balance opposite pairs (and I had many of those), transmute enormous amounts of fear, anger, shame, guilt and so many other dark emotions. As she worked with me -- sometimes for hours at a time -- my hands and feet would turn black from the massive amounts of toxicity I was releasing. We worked for many hours over many days until all my toxicity was released and my feet and hands no longer turned black. This was amazing proof for me in physical reality of all that I was releasing.
She taught me some core processes and challenged me to 'own' my own healing. I am deeply grateful to her for her kindness in giving me so much time and expert assistance when I desperately needed it.
My inner Guidance was right. She was the person to help me heal myself -- with Source.
The vision of the Dancing with Source™ mystery school is Oneness. We empower all to create a clear two-way communication with
the Divine and transform past lives, trauma, disempowering genetic & behavioral inheritances through family bloodlines, disempowering
core beliefs, incongruencies with Highest Good and congruencies with what is not, karmic patterns, programs, attachments, fragmentation of soul,
personality, and separation from Spirit, removal of Dark Teachers and implants, as well as dynamic relationship work with the archetypes, concepts,
ideas, people, places and so forth that hold us back from moving into our Light Bodies. When we clear these and other barriers from our Bioplasmic
system we become progressively able to hold more Light and can be of greater service in the uplifting of human consciousness in preparation for the Ascension.
We do this through advanced energetic healing workshops, private sessions, speaking engagements, and spiritual retreats in partnership with Source, the Archangels, Ascended Masters, and All Beings of Light.
Blessed be.
