What We Experience Externally
Tells Us What We Have Encoded Internally

A dear friend was telling to me recently about a wonderful psychiatrist she worked with in Toronto when she was in her early twenties and quite depressed. She said that he spoke little during their regular sessions but he listened very deeply to her. She said over time the most amazing change occurred in her. In order to get to his office, she traveled through low income housing and in the beginning what she saw was poverty and lack. She felt a pervasive sadness. She said toward the time she finished working with him, when she made the same regular trip, she saw children laughing and playing, the sunlight on the trees and experienced a deep sense of joy.

We looked at one another in delight and agreed that it is an interesting phenomenon of being human being that we project outward what we are feeling internally -- and we believe that this is reality.

For example, when we feel inadequate, we often see the inadequacies of others. A client was very, very angry. His emotional state often bordered on rage. When we first began working together he said, "I operate on the premise: lead, follow or get out of the way. Most people just aren't leaders. They're weak. They make poor decisions. I can't trust them."

The primary reason he decided to work with me -- on a trial basis -- was that he had developed a serious heart condition and he needed to change. He was referred by a friend he trusted, who happened to be a doctor so my credibility was a bit higher than it might otherwise have been.

As we progressed in our work together, it quickly came to the surface that his parents had made decisions early in their marriage that resulted in very difficult challenges for them. His father left his mother and she decided to place my client in an orphanage when he was eight while she figured out how to make a living. When she came to get him at age 14, the damage was done. He had encoded abandonment by both parents as well as a very strong belief structure that he could not count on anyone, particularly not people he 'should' be able to trust. He proceeded to create that reality in his life by a sequence of failed marriages to women he felt let him down, children he perceived as 'worthless' and subordinates in his successful business that he could not trust. All of this added up to a great deal of stress.

As we unbundled it, doing the deepest work at every step, he began to experience an inner calmness, to relax in ways that had been impossible before, and -- more slowly -- to trust others. While he had done significant damage to his cardiovascular system through his intense internal stress, as that stress melted away his anger and rage ceased to drive him relentlessly and he did no further damage to himself. He began to enjoy the small beauties of life. His eyes began to twinkle, his step became lighter and he smiled much of the time.

It is a special place on our spiritual journey to clarity and consciousness when we realize that we are the creators of our own realities. From that acceptance of responsibility, it is not too great a leap to realize that we can create amazing life experiences that fulfill our unique and special dreams.

When we learn to deeply listen to ourselves, as her psychiatrist did to my friend, we begin to hear how we think. As we think, we speak. As we speak, we manifest.

The awareness of what we have manifested in our lives reveals to us our internal world, our belief structure, the hidden limitations -- or the range of freedom -- of our subconscious mind.

Using the metaphor of computer software, we can observe whether our code is clean or 'buggy'. The absolutely great news is that 'buggy code' can be recoded!

My Story

I was referred to Dancing with Source by a friend who said, "You are not going to believe this work." As I have had really powerful energy work before, trust my inner Guidance -- and needed some a breakthrough in my life I called for a phone appointment.

I felt the energy clearly when Ashley began calling in the Archangels as well as the Ascended Masters and other High Beings of Light. I have a particular connection with Pleiades and I saw the Light in my living room sparkle when they made their presence known to me. My body simply relaxed and I knew I was doing the right thing at the right time for me.

I explained that I had received a big promotion that I had been working toward for a long time. When I received it, imagine my surprise that I felt abject terror course through my body and deep feelings of helplessness and fear. These are not feelings that I am used to experiencing, yet I couldn't shake them.

I appreciated that, as we moved deeply into the work, Ashley kept telling me what she was working on with Source and what she was learning. I could feel things constrict and release within my physical body. It was a bit like being massaged from within -- with fingers of Light. I can't explain it better than that.

It appeared that a past life had activated for me in which I failed in my work and experienced severe losses for myself and my family. I found it intriguing that in that lifetime I was male. As we began working to transmute it, I felt the most amazing sense of pressure and anxiety; however, as that part of the work came to a close, those feelings melted away. We worked on a number of different things and I began to feel Lighter and Lighter.

The most important thing that happened for me was that all the terror went away as well as my feelings of helplessness. I began to feel my innate intelligence, courage and belief in myself come to the forefront. What a profound shift!

After this work, I found it easy to step into my new role as a director. It felt as if I had done it all before, rather than being brand new. Interestingly, my colleagues accepted me in my new role warmly and easily.

I am really grateful for this experience and even more so for the easy transition it made for me into my new role, which I enjoy immensely.
