Becoming Conscious

The root of humankind's many and varied challenges is unconsciousness. As we incarnate in each lifetime, to one extent of another we pass through the veil of unconsciousness and forget Who We Really Are. We forget that we are Divine Beings of Light and Love.

In each lifetime prior to our incarnation we work with our master guides and teachers in a pre-life planning process to choose the gifts, the handicaps or liabilities, and the challenges with which our souls will work. We hope to learn the lessons of Life we set before ourselves.

Born into our family of choice, with all the agreements we made with our various family members, we typically grow up being intensely socialized to believe that we are merely human beings rather than spiritual beings having a human experience.

We are similar to the flower bulb planted in the fall soil that sleeps through the winter unaware that it will grow and have the opportunity to bloom in spring into a glorious flower.

Inside each of us, there is the whisper of Spirit: "Wake up. There is more than this for you to remember." Some of us shrug off the Voice and return to our deep sleep. Others hear the Voice and struggle to awaken through layers of sleep or unconsciousness. A few experience Profound Knowing. They recognize the Voice is speaking Divine Truth and their soul bursts into Light. The challenges of that lifetime must still be faced and, hopefully, the lessons of Divine Truth will be learned by the soul under the Guidance of Spirit.

The soul that returned to sleep more deeply may not allow itself to receive the Guidance of Spirit. Sometimes a soul chooses to go it's own way for the purposes of all the learnings that affords. Many of these souls Light the way for other souls by teaching them what not to do.

Other souls respond to the Guidance of Spirit and face the challenges, some of them quite intense, that the soul chose to experience before that lifetime. Many of these souls Light the path for other souls because of the grace with with they face their difficulties -- whether they are physical, emotional, mental or some other configuration.

Still other souls walk an illuminated path of Light because of their close attunement to Spirit. They, too, face challenges but with relative ease because of their closeness and connection to Source. These souls often Light the path for others who see them, listen to them, learn from them and awaken into their own Light.

Whichever choice a soul makes, Source has made it clear that "nothing is wasted". Every path a soul chooses becomes grist for the mill of learning. And, on the matter of time, it takes whatever time is required for the soul to awaken and grow into consciousness.

This is one small part of what we are experiencing on our human journey. Another part is what is occurring with the whole of humanity as the number of humans on Earth continues to grow at an exponential rate. The population of the world is estimated to have been 2.5 billion in 1950. The global population reached 4 billion in 1974, 5 billion in 1987, 6 billion in 1999 and, according to the United Nations, the world population reached 7 billion in October, 2011. It is currently estimated at 7.14 billion and rising. According to current projections, the global population will reach 8 billion by 2030, and will likely reach around 9 billion by 2050.

Think of all the new life lessons this ever-increasing factor presents to many of these incarnating souls.

Add to the equation the proportionally diminishing number of species of other animals on Earth. Ninety percent of the world's human food supply is derived from just 15 plant and 8 animal species.

More life lessons for the souls that choose to incarnate into human bodies.

Ultimately, as humanity proverbially paints itself into an ecological corner the collective consciousness of all humanity must rise substantially in order for souls to be able to continue to incarnate as human beings.

Source has said time and again,

This means we need to recode our 'buggy code" by whatever means, on whatever spiritual path each soul chooses, so that we can remember Who We Really Are and live from our Divine state of Consciousness.

From this place of awakened awareness, we can co-create the New Earth with Source who has promised,

I Manifested The Life I Feared

In my private practice, Radiant Life Coaching, I have worked with so many clients that I am seeing many of the patterns that recur in the Divine Matrix with different individuals. Patterns which give them opportunities to learn the lessons of their soul's journey.

A common pattern I have seen is not choosing to follow the heart when making major life decisions. Many years ago, a client's son was in a deeply loving relationship with a woman who could not have children, which he very much wanted. While he was wrestling with the decision of whether or not to marry her, a young lady who worked for him began pursuing him very aggressively. Interestingly, she was the physical image of the woman he loved -- and she said was able to have children.

The matrix works in mysterious ways in order to bring us our life choices and opportunities to learn our lessons.

My client's son became enraptured with being pursued. He decided not to marry his first love and began a relationship with the second young woman. This relationship quickly became very tumultuous. Despite this, in short order they began living together. His focus was to marry her and begin a family. He put her in his will leaving her his considerable assets.

As the drama escalated, over time he became fearful of her rage, jealousy and manipulation. He told her he was going to change his will. On the afternoon he was going to see his lawyer, she had him murdered.

He never got to be a father.

A different client fell very much in love with a young man early in her career. She believed that while she would have a loving life with him, he would never earn the kind of income that would enable them to live an affluent life. After much thought, she ended their relationship.

As her life evolved, she never married. Although she became very expert in her field she did not earn the income that would enable her to live the kind of life she envisioned for herself. She manifested the life she feared.

She kept in touch with him intermittently over the years. He took over his father's company and built it into a much larger, very prosperous business. With his wife and children, he lives an affluent life.

The powerful lesson that this pattern seeks to teach is to follow the Guidance of Spirit and choose love instead of fear.

I worked with these clients to assist them in letting go of their very different kinds of loss and release their regrets and grief so they could open to the opportunities in their present lives.
